Privacy notice

Last updated October 2026 · version 2026-10-draft

In plain words

We collect only what we need to reply to you and, if we work together, to run your search.

We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and share it only with people you agree to be introduced to.

You can see, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to hello@dilaire.com.

Who we are

[Registered company name to be confirmed] (“Dilaire”, “we”) provides private matchmaking services. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this notice.

What we collect, and why

When you request a conversation

  • Your name, who the search is for, city, country and an age range: to understand your request.
  • Your WhatsApp number and email address: to reply to you.
  • Optionally, marital status, work, timeline and what matters to you: to prepare for our call.

We do not ask for caste, religion, health, income, net worth, photographs or identity documents on our website.

If you become a client or member

We collect a fuller profile and preferences to run your search, and we verify identity, education, employment and marital status with your specific consent. Verification documents are seen and checked; we keep a record that the check was done, not copies of the documents.

Consent

We process your data on the basis of your consent, given by ticking an unticked box that links to this notice. We record the version of the notice you saw and when you consented. You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.

Who we share it with

  • The people you agree to be introduced to, and only what you have approved.
  • Service providers who help us operate (for example email and hosting), under data-processing agreements.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to working together: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Client and member profiles: for the term of the service and a defined period after, then deleted.
  • Consent records: for as long as the law requires.

How we protect it

Encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to the founders working on your search, two-factor authentication on our tools, and a written breach-response plan. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or erase your data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to hello@dilaire.com. We will respond within the period the law requires.

Grievances

Our grievance officer can be reached at grievance@dilaire.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Adults only

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Living outside India

If you live in the UK, EU, United States, UAE or elsewhere, local data protection laws may also apply. We will honour the rights those laws give you.
