Every search is scoped to you. We share the investment in writing at your first private conversation, before anything is agreed.
Scoped to your search
Your investment reflects the depth of the search: how many places we look, how many introductions we make, and how closely we work with your family. Never your wealth, or your family's.
In writing, before anything is agreed
After your first private conversation we send a written proposal with the tier, term, minimum introductions and investment. No payment is taken until you have read the terms.
Refunds and pauses
Pause allowances are set out above. Our refund terms are being finalised with our lawyers and will be in your proposal before you decide.

We commit to a minimum number of carefully vetted introductions. No honest matchmaker can promise a marriage, and we never will.
If we fall short, we keep going
If we have not delivered your minimum introductions by the end of your term, we extend it at no cost until we have.
No success fee
One agreed investment, set out in writing. No bonus on engagement, so nobody has a reason to rush you.
Pause without penalty
Work, health or family can interrupt a search. Pause in writing and your term stops with you.
05Before you choose anyone
Choosing an elite matchmaker: what to ask first.
Whoever you choose, us or another firm, these six questions separate a careful matchmaker from an expensive database.

Who actually runs my search?
A named person, ideally a founder, should lead it from first call to final introduction. Ask whether your search is passed to a junior team or a call centre.
What exactly do you verify, and how?
Ask for the list: identity, education, work, marital status. Ask whether documents are seen or kept, and whether checks are repeated before each introduction.
How many introductions, in writing?
A careful matchmaker commits to a minimum number of vetted introductions over a defined term. Be wary of anyone who promises a marriage or a success rate.
Who will see my details?
Your profile should never sit in a public database or be circulated as a biodata. Details should be shared only with someone you have agreed to meet.
How is my family involved?
Agree at the start who receives which updates. Parents can be closely involved; the final decision should rest with the person whose marriage it will be.
What happens if you fall short?
Ask what the contract says if the agreed introductions are not made: an extension, a pause for life events, a written refund policy. Pay only into the account named in it.

Why don't you publish your fees?
Because no two searches are the same. A search in one city differs from one across three countries with families on two continents, and a single published number would mislead one of them. We share the investment in writing at your first private conversation, before anything is agreed, and we never price by your wealth.
How is the investment with Dilaire decided?
By the depth of the search: how many places we look, how many curated introductions we make, and how closely we work with your family. You receive a written proposal with the tier, term, minimum introductions and investment, and no payment is taken until you have read the terms.
Do you charge a success fee?
No. You agree one investment, in writing, before the search begins. A bonus on engagement would give us a reason to rush you, and we would rather not have one.
Can I pause my search?
Yes. Work, health and family can interrupt a search. Let us know in writing and your term pauses with you: up to three months on Select, six on Signature, and flexibly on Private. Introductions resume when you are ready.
