Verification and privacy

Everyone verified. Everything private.

Matchmaking runs on trust in two directions: that the people you meet are who they say they are, and that what you tell us goes no further. Here is exactly how we earn both.

01Our background check

Six checks before any introduction.

The same standard applies to our clients and to the members we introduce them to. Anyone who misrepresents themselves is not introduced.

  1. Identity

A government-issued photo ID, sighted on a video call and matched to the person.

  2. Education

Highest degree, checked against the certificate or the institution where possible.

  3. Current work

Role and employer, checked through a payslip, offer letter or professional reference.

  4. Marital status

Never married, divorced or widowed, with the relevant decree or certificate where it applies.

  5. Location

Where the person lives today and their plans, including visa status for NRIs where relevant.

  6. Conduct

A short conversation with a founder. People who misrepresent themselves are not introduced.

02When information is shared

Every introduction follows the same three steps, in the same order.

  1. Described, not named

When we approach someone on your behalf, we describe you in general terms. No name, no photograph.

  2. Both people agree

An introduction happens only when both of you have said yes, separately, to our written reasons.

  3. Only what you approved

Then, and only then, we share your details: exactly what you have approved, and nothing more.

  • Ask for caste, religion, health, income or net worth on our website
  • Show your profile publicly or let anyone browse it
  • Share anything about you without your consent
  • Use your information for advertising, or sell it
  • Contact your employer to verify your work
  • Paste your personal details into public AI tools

05Your rights

Access, correct or delete.

Your information, on request

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Write to hello@dilaire.com and we will confirm in writing when it is done.

Raising a concern

We are building to India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Rules from day one. If you have a concern, our grievance officer can be reached at grievance@dilaire.com.

Questions

Questions about your information.

What do you verify before an introduction?

With their consent, we verify identity, education, current employment and marital status for everyone we introduce, and we check again before each introduction. We see the documents and keep a record that the check was done, but not copies of the documents themselves.

Who will see my information?

Only the founders working on your search. Your details are never shown in a database or shared with anyone you have not agreed to be introduced to, and nothing about you is used for advertising. Our Verification and privacy page sets out exactly who sees what.

Do you ask about caste, religion or income?

Never on our website. If community, faith or other preferences matter to you or your family, you can tell us on a call and we will discuss them openly. We do not label, rank or price people by caste, class, colour or wealth, and we decline requests that rest on discrimination.

How do I withdraw my details?

Email us at any time and we will delete your details, keeping only what the law requires us to keep, and confirm in writing when it is done. Withdrawing is as simple as applying.

An invitation

The right conversation can begin quietly.

Two minutes to request it, twenty minutes to talk. No payment, no obligation.

What happens next

  1. A personal reply from a founder within one working day

  2. A 20-minute call in your time zone

  3. A written proposal, only if we are the right fit

Nothing you send is shared, and nobody but our founders reads it.
